Today, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville met with former Congressman Doug Collins in Washington. Collins is President Trump's nominee for Secretary of Veterans Affairs. The meeting focused on reducing regulations within the VA to enhance care for veterans.

Senator Tuberville emphasized the importance of improving access to quality care and addressing veteran suicide rates. He also mentioned his intent to remove certain policies from the agency.

"Congressman Doug Collins is a proven leader and veteran who has constantly advocated for our service members throughout his career," said Tuberville. "We met to discuss my priorities for the VA, including access to timely and quality care, reducing veteran suicide, and removing DEI and anti-life policies from the agency."

Tuberville serves Alabama in the United States Senate and is involved in several committees, including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP.
