U.S. Senators Tommy Tuberville and Lindsey Graham have introduced a resolution to designate October 6-12, 2024, as "Religious Education Week." The initiative aims to highlight the significance of religious education and honor the institutions involved in such educational efforts.

"Education is the key that unlocks opportunity," stated Senator Tuberville. "Every child in America ought to have the option of going to a religious school. There’s a myth out there that our Founders wanted to keep God out of the public square. That just isn’t true. This country was built on love of God, love of country, and love of family."

The resolution has garnered support from several other U.S. Senators including John Barrasso, Marsha Blackburn, Mike Braun, Katie Britt, Shelley Moore Capito, John Cornyn, Tom Cotton, Kevin Cramer, Mike Crapo, Steve Daines, Bill Hagerty, Josh Hawley, Cindy Hyde-Smith, John Kennedy, James Lankford, Cynthia Lummis, Roger Marshall, Markwayne Mullin, Jim Risch, Marco Rubio, Eric Schmitt, Rick Scott (FL), Tim Scott (SC), Roger Wicker and Todd Young.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee as well as Agriculture Veterans’ Affairs and HELP Committees.
