U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) appeared on Larry Kudlow's show on Fox Business Network to discuss the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act and the recent U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee report criticizing the Biden-Harris administration's withdrawal from Afghanistan.

During the interview, Tuberville emphasized the need for the Senate to pass the SAVE Act, which aims to prevent foreign nationals from voting in U.S. elections. He also shared his perspective on the Afghanistan withdrawal, describing it as a "debacle" and attributing responsibility to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Tuberville stated, "Kamala Harris was the last one in the room she says when they came up with a decision to leave the way they did and got people killed—it actually put our allies in harm’s way." He criticized both leaders for their handling of the situation, suggesting that their actions endangered American allies who had supported U.S. efforts in Afghanistan.

Kudlow questioned why Biden and Harris proceeded with the withdrawal despite opposition from key military officials. He said, "If you’re Secretary of Defense and Chairman Joint Chiefs and head of CENTCOM, Central Command, if they’re all against it... it’s inconceivable to me that they would buck that."

Tuberville responded by asserting that American voters are tired of being misled by politicians: "American people don’t like people to lie to them. And they’ve been lied to from day one about taxes, about the military, about Ukraine."

The discussion also touched upon other contentious issues such as border security and energy policy. Tuberville expressed skepticism about Harris' recent statements supporting a border wall: "If she’s for the wall... there’s hundreds of millions of dollars worth of materials laying down on the path of the wall."

Regarding the SAVE Act, Tuberville highlighted its importance for ensuring fair elections: "Don’t you think you should be an American citizen to vote for people that are gonna represent you? Sure, you should."

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and serves on several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP.
