U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) and U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), along with 46 Senate colleagues, have issued a letter to the Biden-Harris administration protesting its partial arms embargo against Israel. The senators urged the White House to expedite the delivery of necessary weapons systems to Israel, citing ongoing conflicts in the region.

"While your administration delays, Hamas continues to wage war against Israel, the Houthis continue to attack in the Red Sea, and Hezbollah continues its onslaught in northern Israel," wrote the Senators. "Your stalling tactics are endangering our greatest ally in the Middle East and jeopardizing the lives of our American servicemembers stationed in the region. We urge you to use every available emergency authority to expedite the physical delivery of all weapons and ammunition to Israel that have been approved by Congress."

The letter was signed by U.S. Senators John Barasso (R-WY), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), John Boozman (R-AR), Mike Braun (R-IN), Katie Britt (R-AL), Ted Budd (R-NC), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Susan Collins (R-ME), John Cornyn (R-TX), Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Mike Crapo (R-ID), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Steve Daines (R-MT), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Deb Fischer (R-NE), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), Josh Hawley (R-MO), John Hoeven (R-ND), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), Ron Johnson (R-WI), John Kennedy (R-LA), James Lankford (R-OK), Mike Lee (R-UT), Cynthia Lummis(R-WY) , Roger Marshall(R-KS) , Mitch McConnell(R-KY) , Jerry Moran(R-KS) , Markwayne Mullin(R-OK) , Lisa Murkowski(R-AK) , Pete Ricketts(R-NE) , Jim Risch(R-ID) , Mitt Romney(R-UT) , Mike Rounds(R-SD) , Marco Rubio(R-FL) , Eric Schmitt(R-MO) , Tim Scott(R-SC) , Rick Scott(R-FL) , Dan Sullivan(R-AK) , John Thune(SD-R-) Thom Tillis(NC-R-) J.D. Vance(OH-R-) Roger Wicker(MS-R-) Todd Young(IN-R-) .

In their letter addressed to President Biden, they highlighted a recent attack where Hezbollah fired Iranian-made missiles into northern Israel, resulting in significant casualties. They criticized what they described as a fear of escalation by the administration that has left Israel vulnerable.

"We write once again to protest your administration’s partial arms embargo against Israel," stated the Senators. "The actions of the Biden-Harris administration run counter to our long history of robust military cooperation with Israel and cast doubt upon the reliability of the United States as a long-term security partner."

The letter further mentioned previous Congressional inquiries regarding this issue that were allegedly ignored by the administration while delaying weapon deliveries.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
