On June 13, 2024, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) and other conservative colleagues in pledging to block the fast-tracking of President Biden’s judicial and U.S. Attorney nominees until after Election Day. This decision follows accusations from the Senators that the Biden administration has weaponized the justice system against former President Donald Trump.

Senator Tuberville stated his intention to vote against any additional non-security related funding, judicial or political nominees, or legislation that he believes supports the current administration's agenda. "In a continuing response to the current administration’s persecution of President Donald Trump, we will not allow the fast-tracking of any Biden Article III court judicial nominees, as well as Biden U.S. attorney nominations," wrote the Senators.

The pledge extends to blocking nominees who have endorsed or supported actions against Trump or organizations that have celebrated his indictment. This stance will be maintained until Election Day when voters can express their views on these issues.

Senators Bill Hagerty (R-TN), Mike Lee (R-UT), Roger Marshall (R-KS), and Eric Schmitt (R-MO) also support this initiative.

Following Trump's conviction, Senator Tuberville criticized what he described as a two-tier justice system under the Biden administration.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and serves on several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
