U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has announced his commitment to oppose all Biden administration appointees until what he describes as the "rule of law" is restored. Tuberville, alongside several Senate colleagues, has pledged to vote against any additional non-security related funding, judicial or political nominees, or legislation that supports President Joe Biden and Democratic initiatives.

Senator Tuberville's statement comes in response to what he characterizes as the White House's misuse of the judicial system against its political opponents. He was joined in this pledge by Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Mike Lee (R-UT), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Rick Scott (R-FL), and J.D. Vance (R-OH).

"The White House has made a mockery of the rule of law and fundamentally altered our politics in un-American ways," the senators wrote in their pledge. "As a Senate Republican conference, we are unwilling to aid and abet this White House in its project to tear this country apart. To that end, we will not 1) allow any increase to non-security related funding for this administration, or any appropriations bill which funds partisan lawfare; 2) vote to confirm this administration’s political and judicial appointees; and 3) allow expedited consideration and passage of Democrat legislation or authorities that are not directly relevant to the safety of the American people."

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and serves on the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
