U.S. Senators Tommy Tuberville and Cynthia Lummis have introduced the Boosting Innovation, Technology, and Competitiveness through Optimized Investment Nationwide (BITCOIN) Act in the Senate. This legislation aims to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve to enhance America's financial standing and manage federal Bitcoin holdings transparently. The act seeks to formalize President Trump's Executive Order on cryptocurrency.

Senator Tuberville emphasized the transformative impact of Bitcoin, likening it to President Trump's influence in Washington D.C., stating, "Creating a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve is an important step in making sure the United States remains the strongest economy in the world." He expressed pride in supporting a bill that aligns with President Trump's vision for America's economic future.

Senator Lummis described the legislation as a continuation of President Trump's vision, saying, "Bitcoin is not simply a technological opportunity, but a national imperative for America’s continued financial leadership in the 21st century." She highlighted its potential to address national debt while maintaining global competitiveness.

The bill has garnered support from Senators Marsha Blackburn, Jim Justice, Roger Marshall, and Bernie Moreno. Congressman Nick Begich is leading efforts in the House of Representatives.
