U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) appeared on "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the increasing calls among Democrats to replace President Joe Biden as their nominee. Tuberville also shared insights from his recent trip to Panama for the inauguration of President José Mulino, who has expressed a commitment to addressing illegal immigration through the Darién Gap.

During the interview, Tuberville criticized the current administration and its handling of various issues. He remarked, "Well, Maria, this has been a disgrace. It’s been a disgrace for 3.5 years." He further commented on President Biden's health and suggested that Democratic leaders are primarily focused on maintaining power.

When asked about potential candidates if Vice President Kamala Harris were to run against Donald Trump, Tuberville responded, "You know, I don’t know. They—that will be interesting."

Tuberville also addressed internal discussions within the Senate regarding Biden's mental fitness. He claimed that figures like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have been making key decisions instead of Biden. "Joe Biden hasn’t been making decisions," he stated.

On his visit to Panama and observations at the southern border, Tuberville described the situation as dire. He noted concerns about individuals crossing from Africa with ties to ISIS and criticized the open border policy. "We have lost our mind having an open border," he said.

Bartiromo inquired about Chinese nationals entering through the Darién Gap. Tuberville highlighted a significant increase in such crossings and warned of potential national security threats.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and serves on several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP.
