The U.S. Senate has confirmed Congressman Spencer Bachus for a second term on the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. This confirmation comes as a result of the advocacy of U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville, who worked with Senate leadership to ensure Bachus's nomination was included in a year-end executive branch nominations package.

Congressman Bachus, who represented Alabama in Congress for 22 years and chaired the House Financial Services Committee, has been praised for his dedication and commitment to serving the country. Senator Tuberville congratulated Bachus on his confirmation, stating, "Since his initial appointment to the board by President Trump, Congressman Bachus has fought to help U.S. businesses remain competitive against companies in adversarial nations like China. Our country is fortunate to have Congressman Bachus serving in this key role, and I look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes in his second term."

In addition to Congressman Bachus's confirmation, Senator Tuberville also congratulated Mark Uyeda and Tanya Otsuka on their respective confirmations to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the National Credit Union Administration Board. Senator Tuberville expressed confidence in Uyeda's ability to oppose radical regulatory agendas and protect U.S. capital markets. He also acknowledged the significant contributions of Tanya Otsuka's predecessor, Rodney Hood, and expressed enthusiasm for Otsuka's commitment to representing rural credit unions.

Senator Tommy Tuberville, who represents Alabama in the United States Senate, has been instrumental in these nominations and is a member of several influential committees. His efforts to secure these confirmations demonstrate his commitment to promoting and supporting individuals who will serve the country effectively in key roles.

The confirmation of Congressman Bachus and the appointments of Mark Uyeda and Tanya Otsuka mark a significant step forward in the continued efforts to strengthen and protect U.S. businesses and financial institutions. With their expertise and dedication, these individuals will contribute to the growth and success of the American economy.
