The No. 2 seed South Alabama Jaguars continue play at the Sun Belt Conference tournament with a matchup against Old Dominion in the semifinals. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at the Foley Sport Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala.
The match will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Jags and the Monarchs battled to a 2-2 draw on Oct. 2 in Norfolk, Va.
South defeated Marshall 3-1 in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinal on Friday. Old Dominion upset the No. 3 seed Arkansas State Red Wolves to advance to Friday's match.
Senior forward Morgan Cross found the back of the net twice on Wednesday, with Nour Imane Addi adding to the scoring with a goal of her own as well.
The Jags are looking to complete the "four peat", by securing their fourth straight tournament title, and their ninth overall title.
South finished the regular season 6-1-3 in conference play, losing only to Arkansas State in the final game of the season.
Jasmine Greene leads the conference in total goals in league play (8), goals per game (.80) and total points (18). Greene also ranks 13th in the nation for total goals this season.
The Jags had multiple players earn Sun Belt Conference honors, with Jasmine Greene named Sun Belt Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, and Gabriela Angulo named Freshman of the Year.
Greene, Abby Jacobs and Nour Imane Addi were named first-team all-conference while Monique Gray, Danielle Fuentes and Jaidy Gutierrez Campos were named second-team all-conference.
