University of South Alabama women's basketball head coach Terry Fowler has released the dates for his two summer camps.
The first event, Play Day, will be held on June 21. This event is for junior varsity and varsity teams. Each registered team will play a minimum of three games. All games will be officiated by AHSAA certified officials and held on the campus of the University of South Alabama in either Jag Gym or Striplin Practice Gym. The game format and schedule will be sent to each registered team in advance of the event.
Fowler's Elite Camp is scheduled for August 28. The Elite Camp is designed to give high school players a feel for what playing at the next level is like as well as an opportunity to tour the USA basketball facility. The camp will follow the pace of a typical South Alabama basketball practice with current coaching staff and student-athletes instructing campers in various drills, skill stations and team competitions.
To register for Play Day, teams should contact Director of Basketball Operations JD Brooks at jdbrooks@southalabama.edu. The cost of participation is $275 per team.
Players interested in the Elite Camp can register online at www.terryfowlerbasketballcamps.com. A registration fee of $55 is required and includes the cost of a camp t-shirt. For a full refund of the camp registration fee, only written cancellations post marked 5 days prior to the camp start date can be accepted. Registrants who do not attend camp and have not complied with this policy are responsible for the full registration fee.
