The campaign committee of Republican Party candidate Bill Hightower, Hightower for Alabama, refunded $500 to Guy E. Binegar on September 30, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: 'Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company'.

Hightower for Alabama refunded $43,600 total since April 1.
