66 percent of applicants to Spring Hill College were admitted for fall 2018

At Spring Hill College, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Mobile enrolled 1,379 students in fall 2018, including 1,254 in undergraduate and 125 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

41 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alabama, and 54 percent are residents of other states. 5 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (66 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).

The school admitted 66 percent of the 8,587 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 5 percent enrolled.
