U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville appeared on Fox Business with Larry Kudlow to discuss the necessity for Congress to pass President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.” The bill recently advanced through the House Budget Committee.
During the interview, Kudlow raised concerns about potential plans among Republican Senators to divide the bill into three parts. He questioned the feasibility of passing multiple reconciliation bills through Congress.
Tuberville acknowledged these discussions, noting, “There are some pluses and there are some minuses [to that]. But at the end of the day, we’ve gone a long way and let’s go ahead and get this done if we possibly can.”
Kudlow emphasized the importance of enacting tax cuts promptly, mentioning that delays could lead to a significant tax increase. Tuberville agreed, warning against postponement: “Yeah, we can’t do that. It’ll be disastrous.”
Tuberville highlighted his belief in the economic principles behind tax cuts, referencing the Laffer Curve. He stated, “The more you lower taxes, the more money that comes into the federal government.”
The discussion also touched on President Trump’s upcoming visit to Congress as a sign of urgency regarding the bill’s progress.
Senator Tuberville represents Alabama and serves on several Senate committees including Armed Services and Agriculture.
