U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama has joined forces with Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina to introduce a resolution celebrating National Charter Schools Week. This initiative has been supported by Tuberville in every Congress he has participated in.
“Our kids are the most precious resource we have,” said Senator Tuberville. “We don’t need a top-down approach to education. School choice empowers parents, not the government, to make choices about their children’s educational futures. I’m proud of Alabama’s 18 public charter schools, which are providing a high-quality education and producing great results.”
The resolution also saw backing from several other senators, including Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee, Michael Bennet from Colorado, Cory Booker from New Jersey, Katie Britt from Alabama, Bill Cassidy from Louisiana, John Cornyn from Texas, Kevin Cramer from North Dakota, Mike Crapo from Idaho, Ted Cruz from Texas, Maggie Hassen from New Hampshire, Bill Hagerty from Tennessee, John Hickenlooper from Colorado, Jon Husted from Ohio, Ron Johnson from Wisconsin, James Lankford from Oklahoma, Rick Scott from Florida, Roger Wicker from Mississippi and Todd Young from Indiana.
Senator Tommy Tuberville serves on various Senate committees such as Armed Services; Agriculture; Veterans’ Affairs; Health Education Labor and Pensions (HELP); and Aging.
