Today, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville from Alabama appeared on Fox Business’s “The Evening Edit” to discuss the scrutiny faced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio during recent hearings on Capitol Hill.

In his conversation with host Liz MacDonald, Senator Tuberville expressed support for Rubio, emphasizing his commitment to American interests. Tuberville remarked, “Well, number one, he’s standing up for the American people. He’s standing up for our country. And he’s standing up for our Constitution.” He criticized the Democratic Party, stating that they have become “the party of cartels and criminals,” and noted a lack of direction in their previous four years.

Tuberville also commented on Rubio’s stance regarding U.S. foreign aid, agreeing with the Secretary’s view that it aligns with national interests rather than being a mere charity act. “We help more people than all the other countries combined,” Tuberville stated, acknowledging Rubio’s efforts to highlight this aspect.

When asked about the Democrats’ performance during the hearings, Tuberville confidently defended Rubio’s capabilities: “Oh, no… Marco Rubio… could debate all of those people all day long and they’d never get anything over on him.”

Senator Tommy Tuberville is an active member of several Senate committees including Armed Services and Agriculture.
