U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville has announced the twelve Alabama veterans recognized during the 2024 "Veteran of the Month" series. This initiative, started in 2023, aims to honor Alabama veterans for their military service and contributions to local communities.

"Alabama is home to more than 400,000 veterans who bravely answered the call to defend our country," stated Senator Tuberville. "Even though they’re no longer in uniform, they still serve our local communities in remarkable ways. I’ve enjoyed listening to the unique ways that Alabama’s veterans are giving back to their communities. Their efforts make our state a better place to call home. I look forward to continuing to share the stories of Alabama’s heroes in the upcoming year."

Each month, a different veteran from Alabama is highlighted for their service and community involvement. The public can nominate veterans for consideration in the 2025 series by contacting Senator Tuberville's office via email at press_office@tuberville.senate.gov.

Senator Tommy Tuberville serves Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of several committees, including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP.
