Tuberville meets nominees for FBI and CDC leadership roles

Today, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville met with Kash Patel and Dr. Dave Weldon, nominees for key positions in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), respectively. The meetings took place as part of President Trump's nomination process.

In his discussion with Kash Patel, nominated to lead the FBI, Tuberville emphasized the importance of supporting law enforcement officers and maintaining FBI facilities in Huntsville. Tuberville stated, “I just met with the next FBI Director, Kash Patel. He will support our law enforcement officers and get the FBI back to working for the people again.”

The meeting with Dr. Dave Weldon focused on transparency and restoring public trust in the CDC. Tuberville remarked, “I enjoyed meeting with Dr. Dave Weldon, President Trump’s nominee for Director of the CDC. As a member of the Senate HELP Committee, I look forward to working with him as we Make America Healthy Again.”

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and serves on several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP).
