Last night, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville from Alabama appeared on Newsmax with Rob Schmitt to discuss recent political developments. The conversation centered around the performance of Democrat Vice Presidential Candidate Tim Walz in a debate, and criticisms were directed at the Biden-Harris administration's border policies.

Senator Tuberville expressed his views on the debate, stating, "Yeah, well the old ball coach got ran out of the stadium last night. He was like the junior varsity team. What a mess that was." He appreciated that there was some policy discussion during the debate, mentioning his acquaintance with JD Vance as a strong and fact-based debater.

Further into the interview, Rob Schmitt shifted topics to Special Prosecutor Jack Smith's actions following the debate. Schmitt described Smith as taking a partisan stance by introducing new claims against Donald Trump after Tim Walz's debate performance. Schmitt remarked on Trump's past statements and actions related to January 6th and criticized Smith's persistence despite legal rulings.

Senator Tuberville responded by labeling Jack Smith as "a political hack" and suggested that President Trump would ultimately prevail. Tuberville commented, "At the end of the day, the Jack Smith guy—he doesn’t have anything to go on."

The interview concluded with thanks from Schmitt for Senator Tuberville's participation.

Senator Tommy Tuberville serves Alabama in the United States Senate and is part of several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
