U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) appeared on Fox Business Network's "Mornings with Maria" to discuss issues related to the U.S. Secret Service and Vice President Kamala Harris' economic policies.

During the interview, hosted by Maria Bartiromo, Tuberville criticized the leadership of the Secret Service following an assassination attempt on President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. He attributed the failures to changes made during a Democratic-controlled White House in 2010 and 2011.

"Well, disastrous. I’ve got to know President Trump’s detail over the last couple of years, Maria. I’ve been very close," Tuberville said. "But this report goes back to leadership... It changed back during the Democratic-controlled White House... We’re putting people in jobs that can’t do these jobs."

Bartiromo also brought up concerns about U.S. policy towards Iran and support for Israel amidst ongoing conflicts involving Hamas and Iranian proxies.

"Oh, they’re delaying weapons," Tuberville responded when asked about U.S. support for Israel. "They’re riding the fence, Maria... The number one thing that all these young people are looking at... they are on the Palestinian side."

The conversation shifted to domestic politics, where Bartiromo mentioned criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris' handling of economic policies and her recent interview since launching her Presidential campaign.

"Embarrassing, Maria," Tuberville commented on Harris' performance. "They’re trying to get her elected—the worst possible candidate they could put there."

Tuberville further criticized Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ management of border security and his oversight of the Secret Service.

"Maria, he’s disappeared," Tuberville stated regarding Mayorkas’ recent public absence.

The interview concluded with a brief exchange about an upcoming football game between Georgia and Alabama.

"It’s gonna be close," Tuberville remarked about the game while expressing his support for Alabama.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans' Affairs, and HELP Committees.
