Yesterday, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) participated in a roundtable discussion on the alleged politicization of the Justice Department under President Biden's administration. The discussion centered on claims that the Biden Administration is using taxpayer dollars to target conservative parents at school board meetings, devout Catholics, and pro-life advocates. This comes amid what some describe as coordinated efforts by Democrats to incarcerate former President Trump.

Senator Tuberville joined Eric Schmitt (R-MO), who led the panel, along with Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Roger Marshall (R-KS). Other participants included Matt Whitaker, former Acting United States Attorney General; Stephen Miller, former Senior Advisor to President Trump and President of America First Legal; and Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation.

Tuberville remarked: “Since taking office, President Biden has used taxpayer dollars and resources to attack conservative parents on school boards, Catholics, and pro-life advocates. It’s very obvious.”

He continued: “One of Biden’s first actions in office was to redirect federal law enforcement and counterterrorism resources to go after parents who voiced concern at school board meetings about the woke propaganda being taught in our schools... Parents started waking up to what they saw during COVID. [They started asking] ‘What are they teaching our kids?’ So, [Attorney General] Merrick Garland directed the FBI to open an investigation into these parents who spoke up."

The senator also highlighted actions against pro-life Americans following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade: "The Biden administration has had pro-life Americans arrested... The last time I checked, our great Constitution protects American’s right to speak freely and peacefully protest in this country."

Addressing former President Trump's legal battles, Tuberville stated: "[N]o one has been more impacted by Joe Biden’s weaponization of justice than President Trump... [The New York v. Trump] trial was a complete joke and a massive waste of taxpayer dollars."

In conclusion, Tuberville emphasized: "If we don’t return to our Constitution, which guarantees every U.S. citizen equal treatment under the law and the right to a fair trial, we are no better than Venezuela or communist China.”

Senator Tommy Tuberville has pledged alongside his colleagues to vote against any additional non-security-related funding or judicial nominations until Election Day 2024.
