U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) recently appeared on the Fox Business Network show "Kudlow" to discuss several topics, including the trial of former President Trump, illegal immigration, and his new legislation aimed at repealing the Corporate Transparency Act in an effort to protect small businesses.

During the discussion about Trump's trial, Tuberville shared his impressions of the proceedings. "Well, first of all, I wasn’t invited—I just showed up with J. D. Vance, the Senator from Ohio," said Tuberville. He added that they attended not as politicians but as friends of Trump. He expressed admiration for how well Trump handled the situation despite being under pressure from over twenty Assistant District Attorneys from New York.

The senator also highlighted a key witness who admitted to lying while working for President Trump and even recording conversations with him without his knowledge or consent. Despite these revelations, Tuberville echoed host Larry Kudlow's confusion over what exactly Trump had done wrong, given that multiple institutions including the Justice Department and Federal Election Commission had reviewed the case.

On the topic of illegal immigration, Tuberville voiced support for deportations and emphasized that it was costing taxpayers a significant amount to care for those crossing into the country illegally. He noted that resources intended for veterans were being redirected towards healthcare for illegal immigrants.

Regarding his proposed legislation to repeal the Corporate Transparency Act, Tuberville expressed concern about its impact on small businesses. The act requires business owners to submit extensive personal information which is then stored in a Treasury criminal database. Failure to comply results in hefty fines and potential imprisonment.

"We’re gonna try to reverse it," vowed Tuberville, criticizing how this legislation was introduced into law without much public attention or debate.

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and serves on several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
