U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) commenced the first listening session with Alabama defense industry representatives as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the year. As Alabama's representative on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Tuberville aims to prioritize the input received from the state's defense industry in formulating the next NDAA.
During the conference, Tuberville highlighted the accomplishments made for Alabama in the previous year's NDAA. He emphasized the allocation of $2 billion for Alabama's military bases and defense industries, the pay raise for U.S. troops, the provision for increased utilization of Alabama-made unmanned vehicles, and the postponement of Space Command's relocation to Colorado. These achievements serve as the foundation for further progress in this year's NDAA, benefiting the state of Alabama.
As Senator Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate, he holds memberships in the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans' Affairs, and HELP Committees.
