Andrews Hardware is celebrating its 100th anniversary at its two locations in Mobile County this weekend.
America’s most celebrated “helpful place” is celebrating a 100th anniversary March 10-11 in Mobile County Alabama. Andrews Hardware Company's two locations will celebrate this milestone at its Citronelle store, located at 19750 N 3rd St, as well as at its Saraland store, located at 11865 Celeste Rd. Both locations strive to bring the company’s unique blend of personal, knowledgeable, and helpful service paired with quality home maintenance expertise and products to Mobile County residents.
"THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY WE WILL BE HAVING OUR 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION! Special Event will be held Saturday at 10:00am!" Andrews Hardware said in a Facebook post on March 7.
On March 10 and 11, customers can stop into both Andrews stores to enjoy sales, drawings, giveaways, and demonstrations for the two- day event. Customers can take advantage of sales on product brands such as Costa Del Mar, Irwin, Craftsman, Toro, Miracle-Gro, and Ace Brand
The Citronelle location will have chainsaw artist Chad Gainey carving artwork with a Husqvarna chainsaw both Friday and Saturday and will also have a short ceremony on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. to thank its customers and great crew of associates for their support. District county commissioner, Citronelle Mayor, a state representative, and 3 Azalea Trail Maids will also be in attendance. During the ceremony, the Citronelle location will have a special drawing for three $100 gift cards, as well as one of Chad Gainey’s artwork pieces-- conntestants must be present to win. Additionally, there will be a number of drawings during the event weekend for items such as a Husqvarna chainsaw, a variety of power tools, gift cards, and much more.
The Saraland store will have special sales, product demonstrations, and hourly drawings for prizes throughout the two-day event. Kinsey Elliott from Traeger Grills will be at the store on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. showing off the versatility of the brand's grills by cooking up wood fired food for customers to enjoy.
Andrews Hardware Co. in Citronelle began on March 14, 1923 after the purchase of an existing hardware store which had begun in the 1890’s. S. H. Andrews and his son S. H. Andrews Jr. purchased the store together. In 1960 S. H. (Buddy) Andrews III became President of the company. His sons Bruce and John now run the business which also includes their sons making it a fifth-generation business. The Andrews family added the second store in Saraland in 1991. The company joined Ace in 2001, and the Citronelle location moved into its present 27,000 sq ft location in 2022.
Andrews Hardware Co. of Citronelle and Saraland hours of operation are Monday - Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
