The South Alabama men's and women's track and field teams have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2023 indoor and outdoor seasons.
The indoor season begins with a fall meet. The Jaguars will participate in the Sharon Colyear Invitational on Dec. 3, 2022 in Boston, Mass.
The rest of the indoor season will then be played in Birmingham, Alabama. The Jaguars will compete in the UAB Invitational on Jan. 13, 2023. That will be followed by the Samford Multis/Clash on January 19-20.
The Jaguars will then host the South Alabama Invitational in Birmingham on February 5.
That will be followed by the Sun Belt Conference Championships, held on February 20-21, also in Birmingham. The indoor season will conclude with the NCAA Championships, which will take place in Albuquerque, N.M. March 10-11.
The outdoor season begins with South Alabama hosting the Jaguar Throws/Vault Open on March 2-3 in Mobile. That event is followed by the South Alabama Invitational (March 17-18), also hosted at Jaguar Track.
The Jags will next compete in the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. March 23-25 and the LSU Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge, La. March 25. Following those events, South will travel to Austin, Texas to participate in the Texas Relays (March 29-April 1).
Next, the Jaguars will compete at The Golden Eagle Invitational (March 31-April 1) in Hattiesburg, Miss., followed by the University of Mobile Meet April 8 in Mobile.
The Jaguars are then set to participate in the Mt. SAC Relays April 12-15 in Los Angeles, Calif. That will be followed by the final two contests in Alabama, as they participate in the Samford Invitational in Birmingham (April 14) and the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, April 21-22, hosted by the University of Alabama.
South Alabama will then compete at the Jace Lacoste Invitational hosted by Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss. April 28-29.
After the Jace Lacoste Invitational, The Jaguars compete at The Sun Belt Conference Championships May 11-13, held at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Once conference championships are over, the NCAA East Regional will take place in Jacksonville, Fla. May 24-27.
The NCAA Outdoor Championships will follow, taking place June 7-10 in Austin, Texas.
