LeCroy and Plunkett named Srixon/Cleveland All-America Scholars

The University of South Alabama men's golf team had two student-athletes, Jacob LeCroy and Jordan Plunkett, named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, the GCAA announced Thursday.

To earn a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar nomination, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or older, both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA golf. In addition, they must have participated in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds and have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I.

In addition to the athletic requirements, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative career grade point average of 3.2 or higher. The recipient must also be in good standing at his college or university and must be of high moral character.

LeCroy and Plunkett were named among 445 other student-athletes from 157 schools.
