The University of South Alabama had five track & field student-athletes named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Athletes. Bodine Degli-Umberti, Kiara Risher and Colette Uys represented the women's team while Sebastian Loschner and Francois Prinsloo were named from the men's squad.
In addition to the five All-Academic Athletes, the Jaguar women's team was named an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. In order to earn the team award, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The women's team had a 3.5 GPA.
To be named an All-Academic Athlete, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and must have completed at least two semesters at their current school. For the athletic requirements, a student-athlete must have finished the indoor season ranked in the top 96 for any championship individual event or must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
More than 150 teams were named an All-Academic Team and over 800 student-athletes were named All-Academic Athletes.
