Bill Hightower's campaign committee refunded $28,100 in July

The campaign committee of Republican Party candidate Bill Hightower, Hightower for Alabama, refunded $28,100 in July, according to data from the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

Candidates can refuse or return contributions for a variety of reasons. Contributions may be refunded, for instance, in the event that the candidate does not want to be affiliated with a contributor, a contribution exceeds legal limits, or the candidate withdraws from a race.

Hightower for Alabama has refunded $29,700 total since the beginning of the 2020.
