The campaign committee of Republican Party candidate Bill Hightower, Hightower for Alabama, refunded $1,600 to Jim Wintersteen on May 9, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: 'Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company'.

Hightower for Alabama refunded $1,600 total since December 1, 2019.
