CITY OF MOBILE: August 5, 2020 - MEETING OF THE CITY OF MOBILE’S ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD (ARB)

City of Mobile issued the following announcement on July 29.

This serves as Notice for the Following Properties: 

APPLICATIONS 

1. 2020-36-CA: 1802 Old Government Street 

a. Applicant: Mr. Bryan Olson 

b. Project: Add access to Old Government Street by installing driveway and electronic gate at southwest corner of the property; install brick walkway from driveway to house; install fountain in front yard; return existing driveway/parking area to green space 

2. 2020-37 -CA: 65 Government Street 

a. Applicant: Mr. Ronald Bowen on behalf of the Exploreum/City of Mobile 

b. Project: Install new wall signage at corner of Government Street and Water Street 

3. 2020-38 -CA: 1550 Spring Hill Avenue (180 Lyons Park Avenue)/Lyons Park 

a. Applicant: Mr. Christian Preus, landscape architect, on behalf of the City of Mobile 

b. Project: Repaving of walkways; construction of new entrance area at corner of Spring Hill Avenue and N. Catherine Street; remove and replace existing wood sign at N. Catherine Street entrance to park; installation of ADA- compliant ramp at tennis cenetr; installation of handrail; installation of ADA-compliant benches; installation of landscape lighting; replace doors at restroom pavilion; installation of brick paver plaza; installation of flagpole near Spring Hill Avenue

4. 2020-39-CA: 115 Houston Street 

a. Applicant: Mr. Douglas Kearley, architect, on behalf of Ms. Leigh Ann Collins 

b. Project: Construct porte cochere on north elevation of house; remove part of ribbon drive and replace with concrete slab 

5. 2020-40-CA: 1719 Laurel Street 

a. Applicant: Mr. Douglas Kearley, architect, on behalf of Sandy & Alex Southerland 

b. Project: Construct 20’ square garage addition and screened porch at rear (south) elevation of house; remodel existing kitchen and bath; enclose existing rear screened porch for expanded bath
