South Alabama women’s golf has announced its 2025-26 schedule, which will include nine regular-season tournaments. Head coach Marcelo Huarte released the slate on Thursday, noting that the program is aiming to build on last year’s strong performance.
Three of the scheduled tournaments are hosted by Southeastern Conference schools. The Jaguars will also host their own event at Magnolia Grove during the spring season.
The team opens its fall campaign at the Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 8-9. They then travel to Toledo, Ohio, for the Inverness Intercollegiate from September 15-16. This tournament will be held at the Inverness Club, which is set to host the 2027 US Women’s Open.
In October, South Alabama plays in two more events: the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship hosted by Tennessee in Knoxville from October 5-7 and the Evie Odom Invitational in Virginia Beach, Virginia, from October 16-18.
For the spring portion of their schedule, South Alabama will compete in five additional tournaments before postseason play. The Jaguars’ first three spring events take place in Florida: they participate in UCF’s PDI Intercollegiate in Orlando (January 25-27), North Florida’s UNF Collegiate in Jacksonville (February 23-24), and Florida’s Gators Invitational in Gainesville (March 6-8).
South Alabama returns to hosting duties with the Magnolia Collegiate at Magnolia Grove Golf Course on March 16-17. The regular season concludes with Georgia’s Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at UGA Golf Course from March 28-30.
Postseason action begins with the Sun Belt Conference Championship at Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Alabama (April 20-23). NCAA Regionals are scheduled for May 11-13 at sites yet to be determined. The NCAA Championship will take place May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
“Coming off one of the best showings in program history a year ago, South Alabama women’s golf will look to build off that success with a challenging schedule during the 2025-26 slate as released by head coach Marcelo Huarte on Thursday.”
