South Alabama’s women’s basketball team is set to play against Troy University in an away game on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CST at Trojan Arena in Troy, Alabama.

The Jaguars currently have a season record of 9-16 overall and 2-12 in conference play. Their most recent matchup against the Trojans ended with an 86-71 loss on February 22, 2025, at the Mitchell Center. Historically, South Alabama has won 25 games and lost 38 against Troy.

South Alabama comes into this game following a close 57-54 defeat by Louisiana. During that game, Chrysta Narcisse and Alicia Spann each achieved career highs in rebounds, recording 17 and 11 respectively. Narcisse’s performance marked the highest single-game rebound total by a guard for South Alabama this season. She was ranked fourteenth nationally last week for defensive rebounds per game with an average of 10.5.

Daniela Gonzalez has been named to the watch list for the 2026 Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship, which is part of the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships. Additionally, Amyah Sutton was ranked seventh in the nation last week for three-point attempts, making a total of 21.

Troy enters the contest after defeating ULM with a score of 82-80. Fortuna Ngnawo and Zay Dyer both recorded double-doubles during that victory. The Trojans’ roster includes Rachel Leggett, who previously played three seasons for South Alabama from 2022 to 2025 and led several statistical categories during her time with the Jaguars.

Currently leading the Sun Belt Conference standings, Troy has secured significant wins over Arkansas State and Marshall.

The upcoming game will be available to stream on ESPN+, and live statistics can be accessed through StatBroadcast. Fans are encouraged to follow South Alabama’s official athletics website (usajaguars.com) or their social media accounts for updates throughout the game.
