South Alabama volleyball has been recognized with the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award, joining nearly 1,500 programs nationwide at both collegiate and high school levels. The award, sponsored by INTENT, honors teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.

The Jaguars are among the 233 Division I teams to receive this accolade. This marks the fourth consecutive year and seventh time in program history that South Alabama has earned this recognition.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) aims to advance volleyball through leadership, advocacy, and professional development with its coaches at the forefront. It includes over 10,000 members from various levels of volleyball coaching primarily within the United States.
