The Jaguars began their indoor season with strong performances at the Samford Invitational and Samford Clash. Kayden Engel secured first place in the high jump by clearing 1.76 meters, and Aubrey Evans also finished on the podium.
In multi-events, Calli Stokes started her season by winning the pentathlon with 3,460 points. Samuel Warriner placed highly in the men’s heptathlon with a total of 5,216 points—ranking third all-time for South Alabama indoors. Both athletes are expected to continue building on these early achievements as the season continues.
Samuel Mika claimed victory in the weight throw at Samford with an 18.98-meter performance, marking it as the program’s second-best ever indoors. Bobby Gray was close behind with an 18.15-meter throw that places him sixth all-time among Jaguars athletes. In women’s events, Iyana Johnson and Flora Dupans each earned podium spots across throwing and jumping disciplines.
The distance squad had a promising start to their year as well: Brady Keller took first place in the men’s mile and finished second in the 3,000 meters; Jordan Morrison achieved a top-four finish in the 800 meters.
