South Alabama to participate in Sun Belt Football Media Days

Offensive lineman Jordan Davis and linebacker Darius McKenzie will represent South Alabama Football at the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Football Media Days. They will join head coach Major Applewhite at the event in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The media days are scheduled to occur at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District. The West Division teams, including South Alabama, will participate on Tuesday, July 22, while the East Division teams are set for Wednesday, July 23. ESPN+ will broadcast coverage of both days live.

Davis was a standout last season, starting all 13 games and earning Second-Team All-Sun Belt honors for his performance on the Jaguars’ offensive line. McKenzie transferred from Maine and quickly made an impact with South Alabama by recording 72 total tackles among other achievements during his debut season.

– Marshall: Jalen Slappy (OL) and Cam Smith (DB)
– Old Dominion: Zach Barlev (OL) and Kris Trinidad (DL)
– Southern Miss: Braylon Braxton (QB) and Chris Jones (LB)
– Texas State: Dorion Strawn (OL) and Kalil Alexander (DL)
– Troy: Goose Crowder (QB) and Devin Lafayette(DB)
