South Alabama will face Troy in a three-game Sun Belt Conference softball series at Jaguar Field, beginning Friday, March 13. The games are scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.
The matchup is significant as both teams enter conference play with similar records—South Alabama at 16-11 and Troy at 16-7. South Alabama leads the all-time series against Troy, holding a 34-21 advantage overall and a 17-7 record when playing in Mobile.
Promotions are planned for each game of the series. On Friday, fans can participate in a Blue Out event with a shirt giveaway, and military members receive free admission for Military Appreciation Night. Saturday features a White Out and Tori Miller Senior Day with trading card giveaways. Sunday’s Red Out includes family activities such as Baseball Bingo and Kid’s Run the Bases.
South Alabama has performed well historically in Sun Belt Conference home openers, winning 14 out of their last 19 such games and securing victories in six of their last eight league-opening home series. Key players include Reganied Franka, who has recorded hits in five consecutive games since moving into the starting lineup, batting .538 during that stretch. Ryley Harrison ranks among the top pitchers in the conference with eight wins and an earned run average of 2.26.
Other notable contributors are Gracie Dees, who leads the team with nine doubles and shares the home run lead alongside Lillie Stagner and Kayden Dunn. Stagner also leads South Alabama with 18 runs batted in this season.
