South Alabama men’s tennis hosts Florida Atlantic in annual matchup

South Alabama’s men’s tennis team is set to face Florida Atlantic University (FAU) on Thursday afternoon in Mobile, Alabama. The match will take place at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts and is scheduled to begin at noon Central Time.

The two teams have played each other annually since 2016, with FAU holding a slight advantage in the series. FAU has won eight out of the fifteen meetings between the programs and currently has a three-match winning streak against South Alabama.

South Alabama has started its home campaign strong this season, recording a 2-0 record at home. Including matches from last season, the Jaguars have now won three consecutive home contests.

In doubles play, Braden Hannig and Deren Yigin remain undefeated for South Alabama this season. The pair has secured victories over teams from Southern and Jackson State.
