South Alabama’s men’s golf team is set to compete at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas, Texas, from October 5 to 7. The tournament, hosted by SMU, will be held at Trinity Forest Golf Club and feature a field of 15 teams including South Alabama, SMU, Baylor, Houston, and others.

The Jaguars’ lineup includes senior Hugo Thyr and junior Josh Hill. Both golfers have contributed scores in all six rounds so far this season. Also competing are sophomore Tim Kretschmann, senior Samir Davidov, and sophomore Filip Svendsen.

The event will follow a stroke play format with one round of 18 holes each day. Tee times are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. (CDT) on Sunday and Monday and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to the team’s statistics, Josh Hill has recorded five out of six rounds in the 60s this season. Thyr currently holds the lowest scoring average in program history through the first two tournaments, with Hill ranking second during that same span. This marks the third consecutive tournament where these five players make up the starting lineup.
