South Alabama men’s golf announces full schedule for upcoming season

South Alabama men’s golf head coach Ben Hannan has announced the team’s 2025-26 season schedule. The Jaguars will start their campaign at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate in Ruston, Louisiana from September 7 to 9. This event marks the first of four tournaments during the fall portion of a 10-event regular season.

The program will host two spring tournaments: the Hal Williams Collegiate on February 16-17 and the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on March 30-31, both in Mobile, Alabama. Postseason play begins with the Sun Belt Championship in Jackson, Mississippi from April 27 to 30. This location last hosted the event in 2015.

Returner Hugo Thyr enters his fourth year with South Alabama and is aiming for his fourth straight NCAA appearance. Last season, Thyr recorded three top-10 finishes as a junior, including a win at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate.

The team roster includes seven returning players and one newcomer, senior Samir Davidov. Davidov joins South Alabama after transferring from George Mason University and brings experience as an individual champion at the 2025 Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate.

The full tournament schedule includes stops in several states across both fall and spring semesters:

– Sep. 22-24: Destin Collegiate – Destin, FL
– Oct. 6-7: Trinity Forest – Dallas, TX
– Oct. 25-26: Steelwood Collegiate – Loxley, AL

Spring
– Feb. 16-17: Hal Williams Collegiate – Mobile, AL
– Mar. 9-10: LA Classics – Lafayette, LA
– Mar. 20-22: Linger Longer – Lake Oconee, GA
– Mar. 30-31: Mobile Bay Intercollegiate – Mobile, AL
– Apr. 13–14: Mossy Point Intercollegiate – West Point, MS
– Apr. 27–30: SBC Championship – Jackson, MS

Postseason events include NCAA Regional (May 18–20) at a site to be announced and NCAA Championship (May 29–June 3) in San Diego.
