South Alabama Jaguars women’s soccer will play Louisiana Tech on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Mobile, Alabama. The match will take place at The Cage.
The two teams have played six times before, with South Alabama holding a 4-1-1 record against Louisiana Tech. Their most recent meeting was in August 2016, when South Alabama won 2-0 in Ruston, Louisiana.
South Alabama comes into the game after their previous match against Samford was canceled. In their last completed game, they defeated Tennessee Tech 2-0 on August 17. Melina Descary scored her first goal since the 2023 season with a header, and Andrea Iljkic, a newcomer to the team, also scored.
Louisiana Tech is playing its first road game of the season following a 2-0 victory over Louisiana on Thursday. Madison Pensom leads the Bulldogs’ offense so far this season with four points from seven shots, two assists, and one goal.
