South Alabama lost to Louisiana Tech with a final score of 6-2 in Saturday’s baseball game in Mobile. This defeat brings South Alabama’s record to 11-4, while Louisiana Tech improves to 9-7. The matchup was the second rubber match of the season for South Alabama.

The Jaguars managed two runs on four hits during the game. Brennon Wright extended his hitting streak to six games with a hit and an RBI. Guerin now leads his team with five home runs and has raised his batting average to .340.
Bryant Quimby took the loss for South Alabama, bringing his record to 2-1.
Head coach Mark Calvi said: “Hate to say it but we wasted a great start from Ryland Bozenhard. We weren’t good enough offensively today, we just need to score more than that. We didn’t pressure them at all. I’ll give their guy credit, he did a good job being out of the zone and in the zone when he had to be. But we just did not make our opportunities today, and got beat late out of the bullpen.”
South Alabama will play again tomorrow at 3:00 p.m., with Daniel Gonzalez expected as starting pitcher against Louisiana Tech’s Brooks Roberson.
