South Alabama secured a 65–54 victory over Troy on Saturday at the Mitchell Center, marking their second consecutive 20-win season. The Jaguars now hold a 20–9 overall record and are 10–6 in Sun Belt Conference play.

The game saw South Alabama establish control early, with Chaze Harris making two steals in the opening minutes that led to transition points. Hantz Louis Jeune contributed three three-pointers in the first half, including one late in the period that gave the Jaguars an 11-point lead—their largest of the half.

Troy narrowed the gap to two points midway through the second half before Jayden Cooper responded with a three-pointer and a fast-break layup on consecutive possessions. Adam Olsen hit a key three-pointer with six minutes left to reclaim a one-point lead for South Alabama and added another from long range shortly after, extending the margin to six.

Stephen Williams added an important second-chance basket after an offensive rebound during a close stretch of play. In the final minutes, South Alabama held Troy scoreless from the field for nearly two minutes while finishing on a 7–0 run. Cooper sealed the win by converting free throws in the last minute.

South Alabama shot 43.6 percent from the field and limited Troy to just 24.5 percent shooting overall and only six points in the paint. The Jaguars outscored Troy 30–6 inside and collected 35 rebounds. Four players reached double figures: Jayden Cooper and Chaze Harris each scored 17 points, Adam Olsen had 16 points along with seven rebounds, and Hantz Louis Jeune finished with 11 points.

The Jaguars led for more than 36 minutes of game time and have achieved back-to-back seasons with at least 20 wins for the first time since 2009.

Next, South Alabama will conclude its regular season home schedule against ULM on Wednesday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m. CT.
