South Alabama Football announced its 2026 schedule on Mar. 13 in conjunction with the Sun Belt Conference, outlining a slate of 12 games that includes six home contests at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
The schedule is notable for its mix of non-conference and conference matchups, including a visit to Kentucky on Sept. 26, marking the third consecutive season South Alabama will face a Southeastern Conference opponent. The Jaguars will also play two mid-week conference games that are set to be nationally televised on ESPN’s networks and will host their annual rivalry game against Troy in November.
The season begins on Sept. 5 when South Alabama hosts Southeastern Louisiana, a team they defeated in their 2023 home opener. The Jaguars then travel to Tulane on Sept. 12 before returning home to face Ohio on Sept. 19. After wrapping up non-conference play at Kentucky, Sun Belt action starts Oct. 3 against ULM, a team South Alabama has beaten four times in a row.
Mid-week conference games include an Oct. 8 trip to Arkansas State and an Oct. 20 visit to Marshall, which will be the Jaguars’ first-ever game at that venue. On Oct. 31, South Alabama hosts new Sun Belt member Louisiana Tech for their first meeting as conference rivals.
The regular season concludes with road trips to Louisiana (Nov. 7) and Southern Miss (Nov. 21), along with home games against Troy (Nov. 14) and Appalachian State (Nov. 28). Tickets for the upcoming season are available at USAJaguars.com/tickets/football.
