Seven student-athletes from the University of South Alabama’s track and field program have been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I All-Academic Team.
The athletes recognized for their academic achievements during the past indoor and outdoor seasons include Reuben Booysen, Jackson Laughlin, Sebastian Loschner, Kyle Rademeyer, and Kendal White on the men’s team. On the women’s team, Ava Grace Wheaton and Flora Dupans earned honors.
According to USTFCCCA criteria, “To be selected as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, certifiable by either the NCAA Faculty Representative, NCAA Compliance Coordinator, or the Registrar’s Office.”
Loschner and Rademeyer were recognized for their performance in the indoor season after finishing ranked among the top 96 in any championship individual event or top 48 in any championship relay event based on final season performance lists on TFRRS for Indoor Track and Field.
The other athletes qualified during the outdoor season by participating in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships or by being ranked among the top 48 multi-event athletes in their region for that season.
