Daniela Gonzalez, a senior from Jamundi, Colombia, has been named to the watch list for the Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship. The event is part of the 37th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships and will take place at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Friday, April 3. ESPN will broadcast the competition nationally on Sunday, April 5, at noon Eastern Time.

Gonzalez currently leads the South Alabama Jaguars in three-point shooting percentage with an average of 39.47% this season. Earlier in the year, she was leading the nation with a 61.5% average.

The State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships bring together top men’s and women’s college basketball players from across the country to compete in slam dunk and three-point contests. The event includes several competitions: the Slam Dunk Championship, E*TRADE Men’s 3-Point Championship, Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship, and a team shootout. Winners of both men’s and women’s three-point events will face off in the Skechers Battle of the Champions.

This year marks the seventh time Indianapolis has hosted the championships and the third time they will be held at Hinkle Fieldhouse, home to the Butler Bulldogs.

Over its history, participants have included notable basketball figures such as Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Cappie Pondexter, Odyssey Sims, Kris Jenkins, Jack Gohlke, Dyaisha Fair, and Ariel Atkins.

Tickets for this year’s event start at $29 and are available for purchase online.

A full list of participants will be announced closer to the event date. More information can be found at CollegeSlam.com.
