Chrysta Narcisse was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team on March 9, following the conclusion of the Visit Pensacola Sun Belt Women’s Basketball Championship presented by Air Force Reserve.
Narcisse, a redshirt-sophomore for the South Alabama Jaguars, stood out during the tournament with consistent performances. Over five games, she averaged 11.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range, and 84.2 percent from the free-throw line.
She achieved a career-high of 24 points in a game against Coastal Carolina on March 4, becoming one of only nine players in the tournament to score at least 20 points in a single game. In that matchup, she made four out of five three-point attempts and shot over sixty-three percent overall. Against Marshall, Narcisse went eight-for-eight at the free-throw line—a personal best—while also recording five assists and making half her shots from the field.
Narcisse finished her season averaging nearly five rebounds per game and totaled eighty assists. She was one of just three Jaguars to play in every game this season and started all but two contests. The last South Alabama players to earn All-Tournament honors were Shaforia Kines and Antoinette Lewis during their run to a championship appearance.
The recognition highlights Narcisse’s impact throughout both the tournament and regular season as she continues her collegiate basketball career.
